Hotel La Bionda is an exclusive eight-room hotel in an eighteenth-century building in Begur: a complete project in which the studio took charge of the concept, branding and image as well as the entire restoration and decoration. The traditional Catalan house required a thorough structural reform before being brought up to date with traditional techniques and materials, together with the latest technology for reusing energy and water in pursuit of energy self-sufficiency.
The decoration takes its cue from inspiring women of the early twentieth century, whose personalities are reflected in each room: Charlotte Cooper, the English tennis player and first woman to win an Olympic title; Emilie Flöge, textile designer and muse of Gustav Klimt; and the dancer Carmen Amaya, devoted to Begur.
